Here comes the weekend my friends! What are you doing? I think I might blanche and freeze a boatload of sweet corn. Never can get enough of that over the fall and winter. I might also make a vat of chili.

The frozen corn will be a nice treat come winter when fresh corn is impossible to find. As for the chili, I can hardly wait for some cooler weather to enjoy those soul warming pot dishes such as stews, soups, beans and chili. Great thing about pot dishes is they make up a batch so you can freeze several meal worth and eat on them a long time. Can't say the same about summer salad...unless it is a pasta salad and then I swear those things reproduce themselves in the fridge. :)
